Picture Puzzle is a classic sliding puzzle. A picture is cut into square tiles, one tile is removed, and the rest are shuffled. Slide tiles into the empty space until every tile is back where it belongs and the picture is whole again. Every shuffle can be solved.
Play with a random photo from Lorem Picsum or pick an image from your device; your own picture is cropped to a square in the browser and never uploaded. Choose a 3 × 3, 4 × 4, 5 × 5, or 6 × 6 grid. The game counts moves and time and keeps your best result for each difficulty in this browser.
Is my own picture uploaded or saved?
No. Your image is cropped and resized in your browser and used only while the page is open. It is not uploaded or stored. Random photos are loaded from Lorem Picsum.
Where are my best results saved?
In this browser's local storage only, one best move count and time per difficulty. They are never uploaded, and clearing site data removes them.
How do I play with the keyboard?
Press an arrow key or W, A, S, D to slide the tile next to the empty space in that direction. Each tile is also a button you can reach with Tab and press with Enter or Space.
How are moves counted?
Each tile that slides counts as one move, so sliding a row of three tiles at once adds three moves.
What happens when I am offline?
If a random photo cannot be loaded within a few seconds, the game draws a colorful picture instead, so you can keep playing. Your own pictures always work offline.
