The Image Color Picker reads the exact color of any pixel in an image. Hover or move your finger over the image to preview a color, then click or release to select it and copy its HEX or RGB value.
It also generates up to four representative colors with short English names. Copy one or all HEX values, or download a PNG of the palette. Your image is processed locally and never uploaded.
Can it pick colors from elsewhere on my screen?
No. It reads pixels only from the image you open in the tool.
Does it extract a color palette?
Yes. It finds up to four distinct representative colors. Images with fewer distinct colors show fewer cards. Palette colors are approximate; the pixel picker gives exact values.
Which image formats work?
PNG, JPEG, and WebP. A fully transparent image has no palette colors.
Is my image uploaded?
No. The image is read in your browser only.
