Document Scanner

About Document Scanner

Document Scanner turns photos of paper documents into clean, flat pages. Take a photo with your phone camera or choose images from your gallery. The scanner finds the edges of the page, and you can drag each corner into place with a magnifier. The page is then flattened, so a photo taken at an angle looks like it came from a flatbed scanner.

Printed text can guide gentle automatic straightening of small tilts and folds. Adjust the fine rotation and detected fold strength for each page. Auto and Grayscale also soften narrow fold shadows. Add up to 30 pages and download one PDF or the pages as images. Everything is processed in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Photos are decoded, flattened, enhanced, and turned into a PDF in your browser. They are not saved after you leave the page.

What are the limits?

Up to 30 pages per session. Each photo can be a PNG, JPEG, or WebP up to 50 MB and 50 megapixels. Pages are saved at up to 3,508 pixels on the longest side, which is A4 at 300 DPI.

Which formats can I download?

One PDF with a page per scan, sized to the scan or centered on A4 or Letter, or images. Black-and-white pages are PNG and the other modes are JPEG. Several images download as one ZIP.

Is the text in the PDF searchable?

No. The scanner does not perform OCR, so each PDF page is an image of the document.

What if the edges are not found?

The corners start at the edges of the photo, and you can drag them onto the document. Detection works best when the page lies on a contrasting surface and all four corners are in the photo.

Can it flatten a folded page?

It can gently straighten small curves when several printed text lines are clear. If the curve is uncertain, it leaves the page shape alone. Covered or missing details cannot be restored.

Photograph a document, check its corners, and download a clean PDF or images. Photos stay on this device.
